Alba received the Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and the Master’s degree in Photonics at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. (UPC). After finishing the Master’s thesis on the development of computational chemistry algorithms for quantum annealers in collaboration with Quside Technologies, she joined the Quantum Computing Technology group (QCT) at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE), where she is currently doing the PhD. Her research is related to the study of light-matter interaction in superconducting circuits, with special interest in the so-called ultrastrong coupling regime.
