Alessandro Ridolfo is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy “Ettore Majorana” (DFA) of the University of Catania since October 2018. He is an expert of non-perturbative light-matter interaction and open quantum systems, and he is actively collaborating with many research groups at University of Messina (Italy), University of Southampton (United Kingdom), and RIKEN (Japan). In the SIUCs project he is studying the theoretical aspects related to the dynamical detection techniques of virtual excitation generated by the ultrastrong coupling regime of interaction, as well as the spectroscopy of such a hybrid systems.
